Privacy policy
This policy explains which personal data we collect on mmshape.com, why, and what rights you have. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors from the EU, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible
MM Shape GmbH, Muttenzerstrasse 97, 4127 Birsfelden, Switzerland
Email: dimitri@mmshape.com
2. What we collect when you sign up
When you back the project through the sign-up form, we collect: your name, email address, phone number, postal address and country, the category you chose, your size, the amount, and – if you enter them – your club or federation and your boat name idea.
We use these details to:
- record your pledge or order and show the funding progress (amounts only, without names),
- send you a confirmation and keep you informed about the crowdfunding,
- send you an invoice if your size is funded or your order is confirmed,
- contact you about your pledge, the raffle draw or your training session.
The legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in running the crowdfunding (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.
3. When you visit the website
We don't use cookies, analytics or tracking, and we don't load fonts or scripts from third parties. When you open the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of access. This is necessary to deliver the website securely.
4. Service providers we work with
- Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) hosts this website and stores the sign-up form entries. Data may be processed in the USA; Netlify is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
- Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland) provides our email, including the confirmation emails.
- bexio AG (Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland) provides our accounting software, in which we keep customer contacts and invoices.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep your sign-up data for as long as we need it for the crowdfunding and the delivery of your boat or reward. Invoices and accounting records are kept for 10 years as required by Swiss law. If your size isn't funded and you haven't ordered anything else, we delete your details after the crowdfunding, unless you ask us to keep you informed.
6. Your rights
You can ask us at any time which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing, or receive a copy. Just email dimitri@mmshape.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority – in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU the authority in your country.
